Perfect Pitch

Last Thursday evening my buddy Rick asked me to come down to his rehearsal space as he wanted help in auditioning a new bass player for his band.

Of course the first couple of guys came down - could barely play and were just wasting everyones time (including their own)

He had one guy come in, great look, good equipment, Rick would play him the guitar riff, tell him what the chords were and within a minute or two he would have created an great bass line to suit the song. This guy was my first choice as Rick's new bassist.

The last guy strutted in full of confidence, set up, asked Rick to play him one of the songs, shouted out..."G, E minor, F, D, C, G - right?" Within seconds he joined in and was blazing away on the song!

This guy had perfect pitch!

I don't know about you but any skill I ever had as a musician I had to WORK TO GET, some people are born with a natural built in musical talent and can just pick out and hear notes and chords immediately, Jimi Hendrix and Yngwie Malmsteen both had this ability.

Having perfect pitch is one of the MOST important qualities a musician can have.

My buddy Ryan Cameron has put together a great course on Perfect Pitch, he has taught 100's of people how to bring out this natural skill in you within 6 weeks.

Check out his site here: Pure Pitch

Try his course and you will soon find yourself being able to tell what any chord you hear is without needing a reference note!

Pure Pitch

Until next time
